Attendance
It is important that children come to school regularly and on time. Attendance at school is crucial to a child’s all round development. Children who are absent from school regularly are unlikely to achieve their full potential.
We have a Local Authority Attendance and Wellbeing Officer who monitors attendance in collaboration with the school clerk, the Headteacher and the Family Engagement Officer. Letters are sent out each term to remind parents of their child’s attendance.
If attendance or punctuality is identified as an issue and is not improved, then a meeting is scheduled with the Family Engagement Officer and the Headteacher to discuss attendance and punctuality.
